The SAC Training Program

SAC Capital’s portfolio manager Ping Jiang was found out in Steve Cohen’s bout with the feds. Reports from Steve Cohen’s case revealed that more than just insider trading was going on within their company. According to these reports, portfolio manager Ping Jiang had been sexually harassing one of the young analysts as part of a “training program.” His name was Andrew Tong. He forced Tong to dress up like a woman and take female hormone medication. He also made him perform oral services on him. Tong was also sometimes tied up and forced penetrated anally with objects.

Operation Buy and Cry

In the 80’s cocaine was more prevalent than ever. It was a common thing to see someone doing cocaine. Wall Street was basically powered on cocaine in the 80’s. Pretty much everyone in Wall Street did it. Some Wall Street analysts would even sell it to other companies in exchange for stocks and trades. In the late 80’s an operation called ” Operation Buy and Cry” commenced. It was called this because when people were captured by police buying the drug they would cry. More than a hundred analysts were busted and 16 were arrested.

ESL Hedge Fund Manager Escapes Kidnap

Eddie Lampert was ESL Investment’s hedge fund manager who was worth billions. In 2003, he was walking out of his building when 2 armed men snatched him up and covered his head with a hood. They then shoved him into a van and took him to a motel. He was placed in the motel’s bathroom where he spent over 39 hours for ransom. His kidnappers gave him water and food. They made him record a video for his wife asking for the ransom money. His kidnappers made a critical mistake. They ordered food with his credit card. Lampert was able to convince them that they would get caught if they didn’t let him go and leave. They let him go and he walked to the nearest police station. He wasn’t able to describe them because he was blindfolded the entire time, but they were still caught in the following days.

Santa Comes to Wall Street

Stockbroker Bernie Madoff is notorious for the Ponzi scheme he ran on Wall Street. He is currently serving a 150-year sentence in prison as a result. That’s not the only thing he’s known for. In the 70’s Madoff allegedly would send people from his office to buy cocaine for everyone at work. It’s kinda like when someone at the office goes out to get coffee and donuts for everyone except it’s illegal. People would refer to his office as the “North Pole” because of the ridiculous amount of cocaine there. He would also have dancers wearing promiscuous clothing in the office for entertainment.

The Team “Trip”

This story is probably the craziest of them all. A portfolio manager planned a trip with 5 analysts in the dessert for a team-building exercise. The exercise involved them taking acid. While on the acid trip the analysts had their way with the portfolio manager. After they had been missing for quite some time, a search party went to look for them. They found the portfolio manager in the fetal position but never found the analysts. No one knows the details.
